all night we went around & looked at
the women until 12 oc & got a bed
at a hotel after taking an oyster st
ew nothing more today

I got a hose to take out to the ranch
for H.P. Dave got in town early
on his way after a sowing machine
I went out to the ranch I found
a man stalled in the river with a
load of hay I came on & met a team
that was going to town I got him
to pull him out old bub was
at H.P.’s when I got there but he
soon went home we did not get
any money from him we all went
to the upper ranch to turn off at
[smear] we started 2 hares but only
had one race & did not catch it no
more today I believe

we went up to turness H.P. Pa Dave
& I we run a hare about a mile on the
plains but did not catch him H.P.
bought an ox for 80$ Dave & I killed a
skunk in hooper’s field nothing else to day
We also killed one near the house

I came to town on the hay wagon & sta
id all day & night heard some good
music at the nicaragua saloon
& I slept at the stable cold to day
I bought a hat & some clothing nothing
else to day I believe

staid in town all day Jurrick
& I went to the theater at night
but it was very poor indeed
