April 55

Su 15          snowing this morning as it
must have done last kt & conti
nued till 1 P.M. clowdy unitll bed
time, a crest was freezing on the snow
before sun set, A.M. Lawrance & put
leather soles on my gum boots, after
dinner we all went down to the point
except Law., Shults paid us off
175$ & 30$ interst money in all. & I
owd him for 35 days work 100$ &
we got 28$ 82/100 worth of provis
ions. The ballance he paid cash
I paid shaw 100$ each Land &
other items on settlement, My less
on 1rst chapt Mark —

Mo 16         snowing verry fast & the largest
flaks I was mending hose all
day. P.M. the five & Roister made 6
at work in the cut below the cabin
it was sowing & raining all evening
this is 7 full days since the storm

Tu 17          clowdy raining & snowing a little
at intervals all day. I went down
to the point A.M. to se after my su
it at law paper tax 25 cts. at home
at noon eat dinner 4 of us was
cleaning up bed rock got gold 82$
Lawrence & 2 others are at work near the cabin

We 18         the stares shone out Last Kt
before I turnd in, cool ith
crust froze on the snow this morn
but the suns hone out warm
& pleasant all day 4 of us clean
ing up bed rock got Gold 97$ the
other 3 at work near our cabin, they
have not as yet found any gold

Th 19          cold & some clowdy this morn
ing the sun shone out quite ple
asant the snow is melting a
way fast. we was all fore noo
fixing up our hose & setting our
boxes for piping again P.M.
