April 59

then cleand out the Barn the wea
ther is verry pleasant p.m. we were
putting up the plank petition
fence between us & Huntly

Th 7             getting warm & pleasant we were
putting up the planks petition
fence between us & Hendly this am
pm we fixed up the hay ladder
John halld load hay for Maston
i went to work on the fence again

Fr 8              it was raining verry hard this
morning & continued till noon
p.m. John halld 1 load for Titus
& 2 for Maston. I mended an
ox beau & dug up the plant bed
I pd 1 3/4$ for beef. I churnd to kt

Sat 9           Cloudy with som rain at in
tervals. we cleand out the pea
sticks off the gardin p.m. I sold
10 lb butter to asheim at 3/4$ per lb.

April 59

& 300 lbs hay 6$ Jones got 60 lbs.
potatoes at 6 cts. I sewd Cabbage &
lettuce seed. John halld, load wood
for Matons snowing after kt.

Su 10          Snowd considerable lat kt
& has continued all day. we were
late in getting out chores done I
did some repairs on an old stand. then
I prepard & took a cold bath & washed
out three pair socks. dinner over i
went up town. late snowing & blistering.
We have a letter for wife
from her niece in Ky of dat. 16th
Ferby. Considerable news &
snowing fast after dark.

Mo 11         it lookd verry mutch like
old winter again, the vally all
coverd with snow & cold at that.
