up to Spanish ranch to
attend a ball given by cap.
Dehaven. comp. Waits & Sherwin

Fr 26           clear mostly wife &
Liz came home p.m.
I gave F Fox 30$ in pay
ment of 50$ I borrowd to go
to Marysville I also pd
2 1/2$ for billiard playing
I pd Sam Stinson 12$
for 4 days hire of yoke of oxen
& 10$ to murry for men
ding wagon & making
ox yoke

Sat 27         some cold doing nothing

Su 28          I & Marvin made a
set of ches men out of
wood on yesterday, &c
clear but good slay ing

Mo 29         I gave John 1$ snow
some I & Sherwin plaid
Billiards cost me 1 1/2$

Tu 30          I wife & Liz went to betsy
town to a little dance on
last kt it was the first slay
ride I’ve had in the county
Last kt was verry cold.. the
dance Broke up at 12 we
all went home Sherwin
is still with us &c today
is clowdy John Thompson
took Liz a slay ride to
meadow vally returnd
after dark.. & quite a snow storm
Sherwin & Thompson
is staying to Kt with us

We 31         snowing & no intermition
it is not so cold as it has
been
