with Dusler slepd in his shop

Tu 19          Cold & frosty last kt, & warm
to day. After breck fast I was to
see Mrs Jennings & Tom. We
had a long chat. He wants to
sell the Am Ranch to me.
I tool dinner with them &
soon after I started home
& arrivd before dark. All well.
Dave & Shults got gold 17$ —

We 20         Raining & snowing last kt
& to day. I went down to Lewis
& fot sgr McNabb to go down
to the point, he got the bond
of Lloyds & Roots. R said he
would settle it, with out any
moore law. I sent the Bond
over to Quincy by F. Fox. I went
home, after dinner, I Dave, & Bill
Rains, went out to mining
and got golls 10$ —

Feb 56

Th 21          Cold last kt, clowdy & sno
wing some most og the day. We
did not work to day. John came
home about noon. Bray & Parker
also left Massack diggins to see
the rest of the compy. Lewis came
over for 1/2 doz gunny sacks.

Fr 22           Cold last kt, still snowing a
little occationally. The sun
shines out at intervals. We are
dressed up for the ball at Elizabeth
town. Wife, Liz, Bill & I are waiting
for the Nelson point Ladies & gen
tlemen. After dinner we all set
out. I Bill & Hirman is on walk
er & Foots train. Stopd at Quincy
& then rode in a wagon to bet
sey town at early candle light
& continued dancing till 4 in morning.

Sat 23        Clear & frosty. I was up at
sun rise breckfasted. Cost 2$ for
I and wife. Near noon we arrivd at
