Feb 55

Tu 6             it took me till noon to sew
them up again. I sent my
17th letter to wife by Lawrance
to the express office cost 25 cts
we got gold 41 1/2$ it was warm
all day & clowdy

We 7           clowdy, haild a little at
noon & late raind some, we
were at work early but the
hose bursted in two places af
ter dinner I & John took them
down to carry to the cabin to
sew them over again late i
went down to the point to ge
twine, I see Lloyd has got back
but too Drunk to come to the cabin
we got gold 18$

Th 8            clowdy weather it was
disling most of the day at
one time it was mixed with
snow. I was sewing the hose
and am not done at work in

home yet i suppose is still drunk

Fr 9              clowdy this morning but cle
ard off, & was a beautifull wa
rm sunny day, the wild geese
were flying north, a hellow
Jackett flying about in the
cabin, shaw & John got
gold 16 1/2$. I was in the cabin
all day sewing the hose not done

Sat 10         clear & frosty last kt, but
clowded up this fore noon. P.M.

nately it would snow & keep
at it. John & shaw got gold
29$ & me to help them from the
middle after noon. as i finishd
sewing the hose Lloyd is not at
home yet
