Feb 59

We 9            has snowd considerably last
Kt. & continued – by noon I fin
ishd putting up 2 doz hens nests
still snowing some after getting
y dinner I put my time in
down town. forgotten. I had
Byers to moove his 6 oxen to be
fed elsewhere on Monday evening last
after supper & the milk pans &
Dishes cleand up I lookd over
the Argus & made the entries
for the last three days —

Th 10          continues to snow a little day &
Kt without increasing the depth
But little in the vally. I bakd an
other loaf of Bred, and are saving
a churning of cream. I sold
Wm Ford a lor of ground 75Ft
wide & 70 ft. long for 80$ cash It was
pd to overton I allso gave 20$ mooore
I put a lock on the Kitchen door
& made a top to the churn & scald
it out ready for use.

Feb 59

Fr 11            snowd some 2 in deep last kt &
letting it down to day but not en
oughf to keep it from melting away
I warnd some skimd milk & I
& Jones has a time to get the calvs to
drink. I put my cream near the
cook stove to sour, I next finishd
the hen house & put some old lime
in the holes to level up. I did some
work on the barn door & other places
I fixed the big gate in front &
warmd some milk for the calves

Sat 12         the snow fell about 1 foot deep
last Kt & yet in some places it nearly
all went off with a little sun &
a little snow accationally. I put a ha
ndle to the scimmer & one to an old
fry pan. & put some dans across
the Branch in the yard. it takes
mutch of my time to feed cook
& milk & some one has scalded
grls on the left flank. he stays at
home now all the time I
let Bates have the oxen & sledge 4$
