Sat 24        clear & cool last kt & wa
rm to day, we yoked up the
cattle & went to the wood wi
th our knew sledge & halld
a load of wood to the shoe m
aker & one to our house & a lo
ad of rails allso.. there has been
deliverd of children verry recent
ly Mrs. Bass, Vaugh Hundly
Lewis & an Irish woman all in
out little midst & no thaks to
any body out side & several
others not log since still mo
re to come this is a great
country for children & heal
thy ones at that

Su 25          clear as usual last kt
but the sun is shining out
bright & warm this morning
F. Fox staid with us last
John & him is going over to
Nelson Creek. John to work
at Rocku Bar sold potatoes 4$
clowdy p.m. & the wind
blowing gently as if to rain

Mo 26         clear last kt byt not
cold. some clowdy today
Moore halld a load of wood on
the sledge. I cut & split some
wood for the cook stove. p,m,
Moore was seperating the froze
n potatoes from the sound ones

Tu 27          the weather is quite moder
ate both day & kt.. Moore ode
the black horse to see Havlans
mining clams & ditch. I was
assorting potatoes all day
sold 50 tbs potatoes to cookies

We 28         still pleasant clowdy with
a little rain. I finishd asso
rting potatoes a trial was had
in qincy to day for fighting
on sunday last between Robi
nson, & slacum. parties
acquitted cost upon the county
cooles pd me 8$ for potatoes
Roninson was hit a few blo
ws in the face by Murry to
kt it was all right he needed
