We 26        the weather is quite warm
& was some clowdy, the mus
ketoes & flies are some trouble
some we got gold 18$

Th 27          I & shaw was cleaning up
Bed Rock all day & got gold
55$ john & his man got 5$
after supper shaw & I went
down to the point there I saw
Green Mc Hatton an old 49 nin
ner from ill, he says he knows
your fathers sister in ill by
name of Ms Clark & 4 chil
dren grown & that sche fab
the old capt verry mutch &
while in the gambling room
my friend Snow struck
abbot on the head twice
with a revolver hurt him
badley

Fr 28           we were cleaning the bed
Rock that we had workd over

the last five weeks & got gold
29$ & we are not done going over
it the second time. John &
his man gold gold 17$

Sat 29         I & Shaw got gold 12 1/2$
moore by noon cleaning
up the bed Rock. P.M. we
were setting boxes to wash
again on Monday. John &
his man got no gold to day
after supper I & shaw went
down to the point to hear the
knews. The first house we sto
pd in was the billiard saloon
a woman dealing lainskinette
& at least 10 men 1/2 doz gamble
ers went through with an In
dian song & dance, there tur
ning summer setts, we next
came to the abbot house playing
cards there. The Thompson house
nothing doing but trade. Than
