Sat 17        cool last kt & this morning n
work to day we was waiting pat
iently for the office finally I sent
shaw & Lawrance down to see what
was going on, the constable met
them & servd a notice on shaw & ca
me on & took John with him
and askd me if I was not going down
I said not. Lawrance came up
for me & said the squire was wa
iting for me.I then went down
Lloyd was in custody. I had swore
out a piece warrant against him
I shaw & John all testafide that
he tride to strike me with a Dra
wing knife & that he had killd a
man in Ky in 43 besides the

threats & insults he had made
the quite bound him over to keeo
the peace 6 months & give security
for $250, he is certainly the most
wicked & vindictive piece of human
ity I ever saw, say nothing of his
ungreatfullness to me – we & shaw
Divided 512$ in four shears one to show
& 3 to John. in cluding 50 1/2$ the 1/2
that Lawrance mad in the last month
Larn paid me 4$ borowd money
I am not considerd quite so bad a man
to day as was spoken off yesterday

Su 18          warm last kt & clowdy this
morning we all went down to
the point this fore noone. Duesler
was autherized ot give Lloyd a
notice that the mountain compy
had no moore water running
in their ditch than they them
selves had use for. I have Dues
ler 35$ fees & paid 4$ for beef compy
