Th 26          we were all ploughing
this forenoon & Yank in
the P.M. & Moore was trim
ing a large pitch pine tree
in the field. I went to Alf
ords to see a cow & calf, did
not buy at 125$, late I & moore
deliverd a load of hay
to the sheriffs at 35$
Rains & Compton arrivd
late this evening from M.V.

Fr 27            raind last kt & is at it this
morning we are doing no
thing at all in doors. Rains
& lem seems qite at home.

Sat 28         still Raining lightly in
the vally, but snowing on the
mountains, yank went to pl
ughing, moore trimming trees
in the field till noon I lem
& Bill cutting up the limbs &
burning brushes. I let stin

ning but cleard off I sold
60 tbs cabbage 6$ & 23 tbs
to haden & took back
27 tbs potatoes from the
shoemaker & sold10 tbs
& got the money 1$—-

Mo 30         cold & foggy this morn
ing but got warm & plea
sant the rest of the day.
Timbermans 3 mules to
hay last kt & 2 to day, I
sent Bated 1047 tbs hay &
34tbs cabbage.. & got 60
post at 20 cts a piece & 11 pla
nk 132ft at $2.64
