Rains halld home Judkins & co
plough & harrow, & got them 175
tbs. of screanings. to chickens & then
went to Alfords & halld a load of
lumber to betsytown for Alforn
Rains bought a ball sorrel mare
& is to pay 135 $ in 6 weeks —-

Sat 24        cloudy & unpleasant Rains
planted some corn, turnip seed, beet
& parsnip seeds.. I & ballow was getting
up our costs & trying to ascertain what
rights are left us in the suit, &C &C
Dave & Kyler cane over about noon
gone to Betsytown, I collected 26$
for Ranching & od Dickson 41/2 $
Jim Shults came over staid all Kt.

Terwillegar was Gassing about
the Law Suit, what he had going
& what he was going to do with
us for Damages &c..p.m. , I, Dave
& Kyler started for Rocky Bar. I
was riding the Ball poney of Rains.

we went by my old cabins to see
John he was all alone, he gave
me in dust 571/2$ what had
been got the week before by him
& Rains & what he washed out of the
square Box, we all went down
to the point. I gave Frank Fox
50$ & told him to get moore & go over
to Quincy & pay the cost of the suit
we all went down to rocky Bar

Mo 26         Early Breckfast. I & John st
arted for the they point. Dave & Kyler
was to take the dimentions of J.C.
Lewis floom & water Ditch as he is
going to improve it & I paid John
Thompson 13$ for Joe Ficklin &c 1/2$
stable fee for the Ball Poney, after 9
o clock. I & Thompson started for
M. ville, considerable snow on
the way to Grass vally. There we Took
dinner & fed the poneys cost 1 1/2$ we
the set out again & stoped at woods

Tu 27          after Breckfast I pd my bill 4$
we set out for the city we arrivd in
town at 1 p.m. I was verry mu
tch fatiegaed & sore I lay about
