Nov 55

Th 22        I hunted up H.P. & started
out to the ranch with him
pickd up Roth & the children
the way all well—–

Fr 23            H.P. went to town I staid
at the ranch all day. Jack
came out A.M.-P.M. we went
up to the upper ranch & back

Sat 24         Raind some last kt I & Jack
started up to Bob Bourns took
dinner at Hartleys 3/4$ & then
to Bubs 26 miles from M ville

Su 25          last kt I slepd on a feather
Bed the first since ive been in
cala, P.M. I & Bub walkd
out to an indian campooda
& saw a squaw mix her acorn
meal in a bason made on the
ground & saw the place
where they burn their dead
& all that belongs to the de
ceasd, the ground is covered

Nov 55

Mo 26         breckfast over Bub paid
me 150$ all the money he had
to spair,i & Jack started for
home. We went by Tucker flat
diggins stopd & took dinner with
Mr Doroty. I gave two of his dau
ghters 3 small specimens & we
then went by the sand hill dig
gins stopd a while by there & at
dark we fed our horses at Mr.
Bridgers. & got our suppers & then
rode home by 10 at kt.

Tu 27          I held the boys sack two loads wheat
it raind some this fore noon.
The wagons loaded & gone to town
I helpd Jack & Derick to build
as shed to keep their wheat dry
after it was sackd P.M. we
sackd moore wheat out of the granery.

We 28         The weather had the appearance
of rain but mearly drisled.
We were sacking wheat & sending
it to town.
