Nov 55

Fr 9           cold & frosty this morning &
a clear sunny day we were at
mining not able to do mutch as
the water is still weak the rain
being quite light, we dug out a lar
ge ceader stump, P.M. we cleand up
& got gold 4$ verry light for the
work, after dark the wind blowing
& before we went to Bed it was snowing

Sat 10         the ground was coverd with
snow & kepd at it lightly all day
cold & unpleasant. A.M. we reset
our boxes. P.M. we done all the
washing we could & got gold 9$

Su 11          the ground was again white with
snow. I built a good fire & went
down to the ditch & washd standing
with my bare feet on the snow it
froze. I then read 12 & 13th chapts
of the acts. we put in our time
till noon splitting wood P.M.
John qucksilverd the contents of
a sand bottle & got gold 13$. I &
Jack went down to the point

Mo 12         the snow was falling fast this
morning, abot ten o clock the sun
shone out we went to work then
being plenty of water as it had
raind considerable in the kt –
my friend Duesler came over
from the Am Vally & told me
that Lloyd was over there try
ing to getout a warrant a
gainst me for an assalt and bat
tery on him. Duesler took din
ner with us we did not clean

Tu 13          the sun had risen before i left
my bunk & it snowing genlty &
continued all day & it being warm
the snow melted away, we got
to mining cut 1/2 doz buttons off my old
pants that I brought from G. town and
threw them on the fire gone —

We 14         last kt was quite cold as the
is hanging to the eves of the cabin
i was awoke form being cold
