le ball ticketts 10$ the dance
is to come off in Gambling &
Drinking saloon & to supper in
Loois & Roots tavern. The Ladies
had some idea of not attending
as there had been gambling
there some time Back &c but
they came & dancd till 5 in the mor

Sat 14         ning. I was down again This
morning for the purpose of getting
out a warrant & did so & took the
cunstable down to Rich bar to
serve it but the man gootshall
had left this morning for Poor
mans Creek so i went home
& will have the cost to pay on
my return home the Johns
got gold 13 1/2 to kt a concert
is givin in the ball room a
beautifull sunny day

Sun 15       coll last kt but a beautiff
day I was getting wood & poles
to fix a prize i want to cut a tree

. down that leans over my cabin
all this fore noon. P.M. I finishd
my letter No 15th to my wife
and maild it 25 cts. I paid 12 1/4
Dolls for the company & baught
two hickrey shirts one for John
& one for myself paid 2$ for
them. shaw came home & a
man by the name of Lawrence
with him late this evening
my lesson first chapt Phillipians

Mo 16         four of us went to work. La
wrence in the place of Lloyd com
plains of pain in his side. I
& shaw was mooveing our hose &
pipe & fixtures down to where
the Johns has been at work &
now is we helpd them some in
A.M. in the P.M. we were clea
ning off the brush & burning it
they got gold 99 1/2$

Tu 17          all four was mining we got
gold 66$ I John shaw & Lawrence
went down to the point after supper
