bar & ellaidaw hill  got some dirty
clothes my fiddle & started for the
valley I went as far as McNabbs
& staid all night snowed nearly
all day & rained after supper no
more of consequence to day

I got breakfast & started for the valley
the snow bein nearly 2 feet deep
I got to the ranch about 2 oc after
a hard walk snowed all day with
out ceasing a bit I got very
hungry watching Pa & I shoveled off the
snow off of the porch to keep it from
breaking down nothing else to day

staid about the house all day he
lped ma put up curtains &c &c the
snow is very deep Lteven Bass killed
a beef in our lot after shooting h
im 5 or 6 times nothing of imp

staid about home all forenoon
snowed all day every body going
to spanish ranch a party Ben
Yurman & I worked the black horse
up in a jumper we got these bef
ore supper a little we had grita
Pa came up after supper
fine time danced until 3 oc

ben & I started home our horse cut
a few shines on the way home but
we got home safe nothing more to day
the rest of the folks went to meadow
valley to have another dance

7th
Moore & I hauled a load of hay to
Elizabeth town to Dr. Kates
on a sled & we got back about sup
per time very cold to day Thompson
came up with his sleigh & we all
went to Kates & staid until
