30th clear & pleasant staid about the cabbin all day Pa & Shaw went to
the point after dinner we had a big settlement in the morning they br
ought up a hired man named Cook to work in Lloyds place nothing else
Mo today more than usual)
31st cooler than usual all day worked with the hired man today grou
Tus nd slucing & dug up some trees got very tired nothing else todau
1st nothing new today ground sluced in the same place all day
2nd nothing interesting today ground sluced in the forenoon & helped Pa &
Shaw move a large boulder set the boxes ready for shoveling in not very
well today sick with the dysentery all of the company went to the
Thr point after supper except Lloyd & I nothing more today
3rd clear in the forenoon but cloudy in the evening shoveled in the boxes
Pa received a letter from home our water is failing very fast not
Frd enough to fill the pipe nothing new today
4th cloudy & warm all day took out 18$ today Pa & Shaw made good
