.    the diggings set the hose & com  (Mar 1855) menced washing
& got 8$ Pa went to the point in the forenoon & got back about sup
Thr per time nothing otherwise new today
8th piped today as usual some men from Columbia flat came
up to the diggings & made whiskey money panning rained some
Frd today as usual nothing more today
9th worked today as usual piping rained a good deal today Lloyd is
determined on having a miners meeting some men from Colum
Sat bia flat went to work in the ravine near the ranch nothing more
10th worked today as usual turned very cold today & our dirt very hard
Sun to wash can wash but little nothing more today
11th arranged everything for a miners meeting on Lloyds account but
there were but few in attendance staid about the cabbin all day the
meeting did not come off there being no miners of consequence fou
Mo nd the ground covered with snow in the morning but it went off about noon
12th rained & snowed all day & continued raining until bed time
washed today as usual Pa & Shults went to the point after din
