24th Kyler & I went to the point I for nails & he for the valley for a
beef he got back in the evening with an ox he paid 75$ for it the bal
lance of us set our leading troughs & finished them in the evening
Moore came over about noon for some sacks to put potatoes in
Tus Sterling commenced cleaning up today  nothing more
25th we dounf our beef dead about day light he hung himself
Wed with the rope we dressed him we got our hose ready to wash &c
26th very cold today about noon we went to piping in the morning
A stump fell in & broke one bos to pieces & knocked our
Thr hose down we put in an other box & got out the stump late in the
27th evening)  commenced pping today but the water woon fa
iled & we broke rocks the ballance of the fore noon  commenced a
gain in the evening & run until the middle of the aftern
oon the water failed  Ned & I got ready to run at night but our

Frd & staid until bed time nothing new today
